Disable textbox from selection in dropdown HTML PHP Javascript?

Im trying to create a HTML form that has a select dropdown with four options, when option one is set (the default) then a textbox is enabled (default) on a page then when any other selection is made the textbox is disabled, ive tried a few things with javascript but im new to javascript and so far havent been successful,
