DIRTY DANCING-- "Nobody puts Baby in a corner."

Never seen Havana Nights and never will. I don't want my love of DD to be tainted by that movie :nono: It could never compare and therefore not even interested.

I wouldn't have been surprised that a few years down the road Baby would have went back to Kellerman's to see if Johnny was there but these two I could never see apart, they needed each other.
 
I love this movie! So much fun, my friends and i used to try and learn the dance moves :lol:

Yeah. I'm so glad the movie ended the way it did. :)

I think they were bf/gf. And I love the song! It was the right song for the right moment. And yeah, the song said everything Johnny couldn't say. :love: This movie has so much love in it. :sigh:

Is Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights any good?
 
:lol: That's a cute story. Too bad we didn't have a brook nearby or I probably would have done that too. :) I used to pretend I was Baby and dance around our room with a towel around my hips for a skirt. I loved how Baby's dress swished around. :lol:
 
I think she would have found him one way or another. She wasn't gonna let him get away :)


Well I've wondered myself what if about that but I don't because it didn't happen ya know. I just play off what happened in the movie, makes me rest a little easier at night :)

Well I think they were boyfriend and girlfriend. They never said they loved each other in the movie but the song he picked out said all he couldn't say :nod:

I agree with you about the love scene. I would love to be around Johnny 24/7, you're right. :sigh: And Baby's father WAS rude to Johnny. If Baby would not have gone back to Johnny's room later that night, what do you think would have happened? Would they have loved each other anyway? What about if Johnny would not have came back the night of the dance? I think that people who are meant to be together will find their way [back] to each other in the end.

BTW...What were Johnny and Baby? Were they boyfriend and girlfriend? Were they lovers? Did they ever say 'I love you' to each other during the film? (Although you could tell they loved each other, IMO.)
 
i have two favorite scenes one where she tells him how she really feels and at the end where they share their dance together
 
I used to watch this every Sunday with my mum. I also used to go down to the brook where I lived and tried to find a large enough branch to balance on and dance. I can't tell you how many times I fell in. :D
 
This is one of my guilty pleasures. It's another one of my mom's favorite tapes that she passed on to me and my sister. I was so obsessed with it when I was little 'cause I wanted to dance just like Baby. :lol:
 
Well ya know I've thought about that too but I think that Johnny would have had Baby go to school. Johnny wanted to apease her father so knowing how important school was to not only Baby but to the Father he would definitely persisted Baby going to school.

Yeah I would have done or said something similiar to what Baby had said. I was cracking up at that moment :lmao:

I think that Baby just wanted to be around Johnny. She knew how upset he was but she also knew how rude her father had been. I think she realized that Johnny had something for her when he peeked at her while she was dressing in the back of his car. Baby had been exposed to a world she had never known and fallen for a guy that made her feel so sexy. I mean as a teenage girl wouldn't you want to be around that guy 24/7? So she went there probably hoping but never dreaming it would happen :D::sigh: :goof:
 
i love dirty dancing, i bought it on dvd and watched it more than i'd like to admit lol:)
