How great is the film, I thinks its exellent, I loved th emusic so much I got the songs on pc ( my favourite being {WyCelf-Dirty Dancin})

Do you like the film?

I thought this film was watchable. It was however basically Dirty Dancing in a different location with a different couple right down to some of the choreography etc.
Not a patch on the first.

It got releases everywhere apart from the UK.
What is with this forum?? full of kiRAB now?!
I mean, intelligent discussions fine... but "i like this, the songs are wicked, do you like it?" is not.

I made the mistake of buying the dvd mainly because I love the original. I knew it hardly set the box office alight in America, but I was hoping it would be like Grease 2 i.e so bad its good.

Its not, its awful in fact I switched it off half way through because I just couldn't get into it at all. It looks and feels cheap, it reminRAB me of those soft porn films they have on C5 late a night in the way its filmed. Its meant to be the fifties but It doesn't have a feel for the era. The characters are unlikeable, and don't get me started on Patrick Swayze's cameo! He looks dog rough, one too many botox jabs if you ask me!

Avoid this at all costs!

ill never understand why they decided to do a dirty dancing two, especially so long after the original, and how good the original was.

I think you're on the wrong forum if you're wanting intelligent discussion - what were you expecting from one titled Dirty Dancing 2 - a full in depth discussion about global warming or politics!
And a lot of the people on here wouldn't be classed as kiRAB - there are many who are in their 20s and 30s +.

I must see this. The originalwas excelleent +++and the perfectantidote to rainy pinched England. I was worried that this would be just another ripoff 'follow up'but was heartened by Patrick Swayze being in it.(though I thought he had had to stop dancing due to muscle deterioration) So is it a Must See?

I missed the first half of the Liverpool game last nightb because my girl wanted to watch this. My life is now worse for having seen it.

Utter dirge.

Made her sit through the second half, and the highlights of all the other games, as punishment.

I got this DVD for a Crimbo pressie and loved it, even the soundtrack. Why didn't it get a UK release in the cinemas, does anyone know?
