Dirt Bike suggestions for 17yr old beginner rider?

Hi, I'm a 17 yr old girl wanting to invest in a dirt bike for just trail riding around in the forestry and stuff for fun. Possibly racing in future, but just beginning atm. I am 173 cm tall and around 66kg if that helps with any suggestions of makes that would be suitable for what I'm looking for. Would I be better beginning with 125cc? Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)
Also, would 2 stroke or 4 stroke be better?
sorry should have added, thinking of doing women's mx in future. but yeah can always upgrade, just need something to learn on and get used to atm
 
A 2 stroke is never a good choice for a beginner. It is also hard to find a good beginners bike that will also make a good race bike down the road so really think about what your needs are. A real race bike is also much more expensive. If you just want to trail ride this bike a Honda CRF230F or Yamaha TT-R230 would be perfect. If you want something a bit shorter go for the Honda CRF150F or Yamaha TT-R125. If you really want a race-worthy bike that can also work for trail riding you only have two good choices, a Honda CRF150RB or some kind of 250F. The 150RB is going to be a little short and a 250F is going to be a little tall, so you just need to sit on them and decide where your comfort level is.
