So, i was thinking about getting a YZ250 2 stroke. Im a 15 year old girl (5 foot 7 inches, strong), but i ride really rough with my dad and sister. I currently am riding a 90cc four stroke, and its getting boring. My unlce things the bike will be too fast (he raced motocross when he was younger). So, i thought of putting a restrictor in it until i got used to it for a bit. The bike will be for trail riding, until i get good enough to race. Does anyone no anything about restrictors (good or bad idea?), or where i can buy them? thanks

250 2 strokes are made for racing strictly u cannot put them on a trail u will get hurt.

if u want to trail ride till u get good enough and still have a good bike u can race get a CRF150r, it is a race four stroke that is competitive on the track but also fine for trail riding.

the 250 2 stroke has whats called a power band which means part way into the gear the bike will try and rear up on u and on the trails that ends with u face first in a tree.

the 150 though power full has a more mellow distribution of power that is awesome on the track and the trail.

u could go with a 250 four stroke if ur strong enough and have the experience but i would go with 150 if ur just starting out on the track.

and no u cant put a restrictor on a 250 2 stroke (i dont believe u can on 2 strokes but i can be wrong)
