I want to add a 24 or 30" dish for 82. I'll keep the 20" dish for 91. I can only find 24 or 30 inch DirectV dishes. I believe I remember hearing their LNB's will work with Expressvu. Is that true? If so I'll likely go that route.

the lnbfs won't be compatible as you may thought it did. only the parabola are ok. directv use 22khz tone, BEV does not.

DirecTV LNBS will soo work, the lnb on the dish at my folks place says directv on it. That should be enough proof.

Technically, they will work, and they wont work
If they are standard, single sat LNB's they will work
If they are a Multi sat LNB, with a built in switch, they wont work
2x4 or 3x4 direct tv multi switches will work for bell too

The issue has been answered. As for "proof", please keep in mind that you are referring to branding, not a specific model number.

Technology changes. Example: On my 10-ft sat dish, I had a C-band sat LNB made by X (I forget the name, this was years ago). They also make a Ku-band LNB. Both had Company X on the side.

LNBs look similar but have different capablilities. Linear, circular, frequency ranges, single, dual, quad, w or w/o switches etc.
