I have a history of bladder/UT problems since I was a girl and the past few months I've had intermittent bladder/UT pain and discomfort ranging from slight to extremely painful before they disappear without notice. The past week I've had constant intense urgency paired with UT/bladder pain, but no change in frequency or amount of urine. It's impossible to discern whether I actually have to pee or not. The past few times I've taken diphenhydramine (50 mg), I've been knocked down by intense, dull left sided kidney pain that will last for up to six hours and will radiate throughout my abdomen/ovary area as well. (Not to mention a deep breath is excruciating.) Sitting in a hot bathtub relieves it almost completely.. but the second I step out in the cooler temperature, it resumes the torture.
I'm at my wits end.
I know I need to go to a doctor, but I'm unable to afford it as I no longer have a job or transportation. Family won't help. Any ideas why it might be triggering pain? Suddenly my kidney isn't able to process it or something?
