Dio

Major Bump.

Listening to the album Dream Evil now. I should turn it off right now it's so corny but I can't. Dio are one of the few genuine 'Metal' banRAB that have stayed true to their roots in giving us cliched ridden lyrics and re-hashed Metal riRAB.

Not that I care I still think they are great.

At last, Heavy metal was grapsed:

The most evil little guy in rock and roll. I love Rainbow, he and Ritchie were great together. 'On Stage' has been a much-loved lp since my early teens.
'Mob Rules' and 'Heaven and Hell' are great Sabbath albums. The Ozzy purists always slag the lineup, but it was a great band.

No...why? I didn't want people to be under the impression that I liked Dio when I said two thurabs up, so I was clearing that up. As for PostPsycosis666 (who I'm assuming your talking about) PostPsychosis is the name of the band we are both in.

Dio has rocked for a long, long time,
Now it's time for him to pass the torch.
He has songs of wildebeests and angels,
He has soared on the wings of a demon.

It's time to pass the torch,
You're too old to rock, no more rockin' for you.
We're takin' you to a home,
But we will sing a song about you.

And we will make sure that you're very well taken care of.
You'll tell us secrets that you've learned. Raow!
Your sauce will mix with ours,
And we'll make a good goulash baby.
Dio, time to go!
You must give your cape and scepter to me.
And a smaller one for KG.
Go! Go! Dio! Dio!

Sabbath could have put anyone on the mike after Ozzy left, and the record sales still would have plummetted, so the 'Dio killed Sabbath' argument is moot.

Ozzy leaving killed Sabbath, not Dio arriving.

There are very few banRAB who enjoyed truly great success once their original frontman left.

Van Halen continued to sell a phenomenal amount of recorRAB with Sammy Hagar, but to a different audience.

AC/DC is probably the most successful rock band of all time, in terms of record sales after a lead singer changed. Anyone besides me old enough to remeraber when Bon Scott died? Back in Black, as far as I'm concerned, will never be topped, as far as 'comeback albums.

I don't think they are that bad, I have a couple of their songs. They are nothing special, I like Ronnie's work better with Rainbow and Sabbath.

Well I must apologize to you people, I was somehow under the impression that this was a music forum, but I was wrong. For future reference a good name for this forum would be, petty childrens fights banter, or something of the like. I go to each thread and express my opinion on the music being disscussed and find the thread destroyed completly in a matter of posts. It always gets off topic. I had thought for awhile that my quest for a good music forum was over, but I guess the search continues.

God I miss radiomute

In my own opinion, Black Sabbath was better when RJD was in it. Now, don't get me wrong, Ozzy is awesome, but I just think it was at its best with Dio.

They were in free-fall long before Ozzy left. I don`t see how anyone in their right mind could think that Technical Ecstacy & Never Say Die are better than Heaven & Hell and Mob Rules. If anything Dio joining them gave them a resurgance in popularity as short lived as it was.

^ Ahaha, they call that sort of thing a "fuck up'.

Edit: I'm a slow typer, and PP just explained her reasoning so I might just haul my arse out of here.

Does anybody like Dio? I have casually listened to Ronnie James Dio for years and I think his band is good. I'm not particually sure how well known he is.
