Really? Dinobot has seen the Allspark? Cybertronian science has definitively proven the existence of the afterlife? Cause as far as I know the only people who've ever had direct contact with the Allspark were Primal, Megatron and Tankor. And that was only because they had access to the oracle. Plus all that stuff only happened in Beast Machines long after Dinobot had shuffled off the mortal coil.

I'm amused at the fact that this thread has turned into a discussion on Cybertronian Theology.
And, when "Beast Wars" was written, there was no Allspark. There was the Matrix and the Pit. That was what Bob Forward and Larry DiTillio wrote. "Beast Machines" retconned all this, and let's be frank, it retconned a lot.
And yes, I think authoral intent should be considered here because Bob Forward only wrote the scene and came up with the Matrix and the Pit. Not his fault it got retconned.

They can see the spark float off but do they know for certain what happens to it afterwards? Has anyone ever tried hopping on a spaceship and following a spark? For all they know it simply fades away or gets eaten by Azathoth.
Authorial intent aside it's not to hard to reconcile the two concepts. Perhaps the Matrix and the Pit are two different aspects of the Allspark. I don't think they ever spelled out the nature of the Pit. We always assumed it was basically Hell but what if it's more like Purgatory? Maybe evil sparks have to under go a period of penance before rejoining the Allspark. Or maybe the Maximals and Predecons are simply wrong. My basic point is what transformers believe about the afterlife isn't necessarily the objective truth.

What about that time Optimus Primal went on to blow up the Planet Buster but Megatron had trapped the pod so he could not eject and was blown up as well? Then Rhinox went and GRABBED PRIMAL'S SPARK OUT OF THE MATRIX and put it into a blank Protoform which became Transmetal Optimus Primal?!
that little stunt could only be pulled because of the quantum surge that occured when the Planet Buster blew up, wich let a rift open in the fabric of reality.
