Could be a lot worse... I'm making beef stew tomorrow for dinner.
I have chocolate ice cream if I want dessert.

Sounds pretty darn good to me.

Boneless leg of lamb with potatoes roasted under the meat. Brussels
sprouts on the side.

Have had worse for more money :)

When my parents moved to high altitude, baking became a bit problematic.
Some parameters need adjusting, others don't.

TMU learnt a few rules, such as higher temp and longer time. All well
and good. Another common 'rule' is to add a bit more flour to compensate
for the increased leavening effect of lower atmospheric pressure. TMU
duly did that to her popover recipe. The things came out like hockey
pucks LOL. It was pointed out to her that popovers come out very nicely
at high altitude.

Sounds darned good to me. Mine tonight is microwave popcorn with a

Lin made what I'll call "deconstructed cabbage rolls": The cabbage itself
was rolled and cooked, but the stuffing (sausage and potatoes) was served
separately. Very nice wintry fare.

Tonight I made fried chicken, mashed tatters and peas, with warm rhubarb crisp
and cream for dessert. Kath got home at 5:10PM and dinner was plated and served
by 5:15PM ..... She loves me being retired ;-)

I like that. Did you take a picture of it? If not, would you please
tell Lin that I'd like her to message me with how she did it? (she'll
give me more details) Hubby *loves* cooked cabbage and I don't, so
I'm always looking for a way I'll like it too.
