Dimmer etc.. for TX

Anyone know of a good application that will dim the screen of the TX (or even better ....... blank it out after dimming it) after a specified time and then turn it back on after a tap?

I know of programs out there but I'm very uncertain as to what is "safe" on a TX.

The dimmer that comes up when you click on the time is not good enough? And the auto-off under Preferences-->Power isn't what you need, either?
 
I like automation .........

There are programs that will first dim the screen for you automatically if there is no activity within say ... 30 seconds and then will blank out the screen after another specified time frame (say 1 minute). This conserves power if you have to set your hanheld down to talk to someone, do something, etc...... Then, when you come back to what you were doing, tap the screen and your right back where you were (without having to power back on with the power button)....... in my case with the TX pressing it two times to get the darn thing to come back on.

Hmm... I haven't heard of anything like that. Sorry. I could see it being handy, but I could also see it being detrimental if I didn't turn off the power and forgot that it was in that mode. I could put it in a bag, and it would turn itself on and go to standby continuously.

Good luck with finding an appropriate app!

And I have the same power button issue... :mad:
