Well i was so excited to see how digital TV look when it changed to digital, it did not change it really doesn't look clear it look simply the same, are they lying about the digital TV, Oh and 2 help u more i even have a new tv i got for a present. Are they lying what can i do?
have a 1080p Hd tv

its not a lie, BUT its only within the past month where i live that they started stating what i knew would eventually happen...now that u have replaced ur tv, its time to spend more money and replace ur tv antenna as it most likely isn't a good enough capatability for dtv signals and u need to but a dtv antenna that will work, then u will havta move from where u live to within 20 miles of the tv tower, but then u may not like that channel so u will havta move again to get closer to the tower that u like better, and it goes on and on and on. think of it this way...u buy the base car they are advertising for the cheap price, but then u havta start spending more money for the options u may want like a radio, ac, then an extended warranty, then....etc.

bottom line is we got screwed. my mother lives in a nursing home in the city we live in which has 60,000 people. before the switch she had 8 channels with a rabbit ear antenna that was 35yrs old. for christmas and before the digital transition i bought her a new dtv television. when the changeover happened in february, despite her having a digital tv, she went down to 4, thats right 4 channels and 2 of those were channels that hadn't changed over yet. i went to best buy where i bought the tv and they said she needs a different antenna so i bought one for $80. today, after yesterdays 100% digital switch, i went over and rescanned her tv...5 channels, thats it and there's one she can't even get and the f'n tv station and tower is 11 blocks from where she lives! she can not get cable tv as they don't offer it to the nursing home individual rooms.

oh yes, this is exactly what the free tv viewing public needed, to spend hundreds of dollars in a sinking economy to lose the priviledge of watching tv and getting free news and weather updates.

oh and just wait, their reasons for taking away analog tv were to clear airwaves so they could be used by emergency reasons...what happens when they decide ur free radio is interfearing with emergency radio signals...can anyone here say manditory satellite radio at your cost?
