Digital Spy Spoilers

It is getting very annoying when I come on to rabroad in the mornings and I'm told which people have left or been evicted from a programme which I have sky+ the night before. For example last night 71 degrees north I have just found out Shane Richie had left, during American Big Brother this year everyweek spoilers were all over the website as to who had won head of house or been evicted. I'm sure I'm not the only person who is getting annoyed by this.

Errrrr...spoilers are before a programme is aired. Are you saying that after people have watched it they are not allowed onto the forum to discuss it until perhaps you are ready?

If it were me, & I didn't want to know, I wouldn't come onto the forum until I had seen it.

I wasn't talking about forum posts, they are easy enough to avoid I was actually talking about rabroad news articles which are a lot harder to avoid when it says 'Shane richie departs 71 degrees north'. I actually didnt know what spoilers meant, I thought it was 'spoiling' something, nevermind.

Ah, okay. I was also going to say that RAB are first with the news, even having flash banners at the top of the page when there are evictions etc.

In that case, why don't you bookmark the actual forums you use & that way you can avoid the 'front door' & any possible spoiler articles? :)

That's fair enough I understand, but I still think it's wrong especially when so many people record programmes via sky+ or virgin media. A simple headline of 'fifth celebrity leaves 71 degrees north' would be better I think therefore I can avoid the post and people who want to read it can without having it ruined for them.

For live programmes yes I think having red banner is appropriate, big brother, x factor, strictly etc but for pre recorded shows I think they the names of people leaving don't need to be revealed.

Cheer's for spoiling my V+ 71 degree's north   ,watch it every week on catch-up,completely forgot it was on last night, the last thing i expected on a spoiler's thread was someone to spoil a show result for me, Cheer's :(

If you don't watch a programme until after the first time it's been broadcast, then it's your own responsibility to do whatever it takes to avoid finding out anything about it which might spoil your enjoyment of it. If you choose to come onto the internet and look at websites where TV is dicussed, then it's your own fault if you find out something.

Harsh, but fair. Personally I think there should be a ban on spoilers in thread titles though, so often some little twerp has ruined a programme by repeating some tweet in the thread title (I'm thinking of BB evictions in particular). :(
