Digital Photography in High school?

K I'm taking digital photography my sophmore year (this year), and I don't know exaaactly what they do in it. I mean, I chose it because I love photography. I'm constantly taking pictures. But what do they do specifically? Does the teacher assign projects? All I know is that my classroom has computers in it. Lol

I just took my first photography class at my high school last year and the teacher explained shutter speed, aperture, ISO, different compositional rules, and all that basic stuff. We had to take pictures that went along with what we were learning about like a sow and fast shutter speed photo, a photo with shallow DOF, and different types of composition.
The teacher also showed different editing techniques in Photoshop CS4.
Hope this helps :]

All schools are different, but you'll probably learn about the manual features of the camera (aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, etc.), and possibly some post-production techniques (Photoshop).

ask people who have taken the class before. they will probably tell you about composition, colors, lighting, angles, ya know, the typical photography stuff. i wish my school had a photography class!
