Different picture on each television

I am not sure where this message should reside, but will start here.
I subscribe to ExpressVu Hd. I have a 40 inch LCD, and a 50 inch plasma. Typically these days the picture on the 40 inch appears to be as it was intended --- sizewise. On the 50 inch screen, it almost looks like the picture has been zoomed in, and there is a loss of image on the edges, and either the top or bottom. Maybe this is normal, but it sure is aggravating. So the question is --- is the normal??. If not, any ideas on why not, and a possible fix..
 
What receivers are you using on the respective televisions? How is each connected? What picture mode do you have on each receiver (press *) and what modes do you have on your each television set?

Without this type of information, its pretty hard to diagnose your problems.
 
Okay. Mark me down as Class A idiot. I had the stretch mode on with the 6141 receiver on the plasma. Reset to normal and all is well. Thanks.
 
Rest assured you are not the first to have done this (hence why I said press *).

The important thing though when you are posting is to present as much detail as possible so you can resolve your problem quickly.
 
Hugh, I think that the 6 minutes it took you with the information provided was pretty good, doubt you could have done it faster with more details.....lol
