Different Code, different features on N73

I noticed when I change my product code to region 8 there was a little arrow flashing next to the "l" when I type. But when in silent mode the camera still makes a sound. And lastly and least important, the mobile search app does not work.

Just this morning I changed it to euro 1 and updated the new f/w again, the flashing arrow next to the "l" is gone but when in silent mode, the camera is also silent and the all important (sarcasm) mobile search works again.

In both regions the font is bolder.

Anyone noticed anything different when they changed their product code to a different region?
 
i've updated my n73 3 times already...and yea...there a very minor changes in the firmware. i went from 12 to 11 then 02.

12 had nothing special
11 has weird font (thin) and the passwords are entered with #### instead of ****
02 has the camera silent

i dont really use the seach thing....and the arrow, i didnt see it either.

other than that, its basically the same.
 
Any region code that allows me to read Chinese that I can update? Cause I used this: 0529785 and after the software update, I can no longer read Chinese...sucks.
 
I've seen the arrow/I-beam thing before. I don't know if I like it at all. It seems to get in the way of what I'm typing.

I didn't get the Search application at all with my new firmware. Did you find a place to download it and it's still not working or did it come preinstalled and just doesn't work?
 
I liked that flashing "l" with the small arrow to the right, it was different. After I updated the new firmware, the search app was deleted and I had to re-install it. That version was 2.13 and didn't worked. Another member had v 2.12 and it worked.

This morning I changed the product code to Euro 1 and updated to the new f/w again. Now the arrow is gone but the mobile search app works and when you press the # key, the profile switches to silent and the camera no longer makes a sound.
