Does anyone have the 6th edition Organic Chemistry book by wade? I have the 7th edition, and I'm hoping to save a little money when buying the solutions manual by buying the 6th edition, but I don't know if the majority of the problems are the same or if they change with each edition.
Some example problems from 7th edition:
Problem 3-7: Draw the structure of the following compounds:
a) 4-(1,1-diamethylethyl)octane
b) 5-(1,2,2-trimethylpropyl) nonane
c) 3,3-diethyl-4-(2,2 dimethylpropyl) octane
Problem 21-30:
Show how the Friedel-Crafts acylation might be used to synthesize the following compunds:
a) acetophonone
b)benzophenone
c)n-butylbenzene
Can you see if these are the same problems as those numbers in the 6th edition books!
