Difference between this MPC and midi keyboard? ?

I know an MPC is obviously a music production center but I've seen keyboards with the same pads and assignable q knobs for the daw software. And mpc's can sample from a music keyboard or instrument. My question is what are the main differences between the akai mpc 500 and akai mpk 49 midi keyboard?
