Difference between 720p and 1080p on 24" and 26"inch tv's?

Ok so Im thinking of getting a tv thats around $250.Now the first one is 24" with 1080p. The second one is 26" but with only 720p. Now my question is, "Is there a noticable difference between the 1080p on a 24" and a 720p on a 26""? Pictures of both being compared would be greatly appreciated!
