After McClane and Farrell had been to that Worlocks home, you know the dude who said he had a comand center and McLean laughed and said its a basement. McClane was walking out to the car when Ferrell ran out and said ''what you going to do?'' and in the trailer McClane says ''I'm going to kill this guy and get my daughter, I'll go get my daughter and kill this guy, I'll kill all of them''. But when i watched it (2 times now) He only says ''I'm going to kill this guy and get my daughter''.

McClane is holding and gun and is aiming it, and he says his trade mark "yippee-ki-yay, motherfuc$er'' this to wasn't in the film over here.

Anyone know if these parts made the US version?
 
Nope, they didn't make the US version either, many cuts were made to the film so kiRAB could watch it, sad I know, you'll even notice some scenes that are re-dubbed when characters clearly say the f word but you hear something different.
 
I agree the OP hasn't made the point particularly well. Often, dialogue in trailers is re-edited or cut altogether when the film is finally released. This doesn't necessarily mean that a 'cut' version of the film has been used.

As an example, the Pirates 3 trailer contained quite a few bits of dialogue that didn't appear in the film, and other bits where the same dialogue as in the trailer was used, but with the scene shot in a completely different location.

The Yipee-Ki-Ay Mother F****r line was in the film, but with the swearing partially obscured by a gunshot.

As I said earlier though, there was some really bad dubbing too.
 
He never said Mother F****r, he just said Yipee-Ki-Ay Mother, then it cut to a shot of the gun blasting a hole in the guys neck. Apparently in the cinema world, it's better to let kiRAB see close up gun shots than hear the word "F****r".
 
The theatrical version of Live Free or Die Hard/Die Hard 4.0 is not cut by the BBFC. It's simply a different version of the film. A watered down version was submitted to the MPAA in order to obtain a PG-13 rating in the US. All changes, alterations (etc) were made in post-production by the producers. Re-dubbed dialogue, alternate camera angles, fast cutting, trims to scenes, digitally erased exit wounRAB from gunshots, you name it. An unrated version will be released on DVD very soon. I would say to anyone that hasn't yet seen the film... save your money and wait for the unrated DVD.
 
I was going to say that! No doubt they will have a directors cut of the film out, so those who have seen it will just have to buy it for the unedited Directors Cut of the film!
 
When this kind of box-office driven editing happens, given that we now have PIN-protection on TV movie channels, can (or will) the unedited version be shown on TV?
 
Isn't realising 2 versions of the same film on the same format (eg. DVD) not allowed by the BBFC in the UK? We might have to import the unedited version. Seeing as it was a 15 here not a 12A you would have thought they would have just given us the unedited version anyway.
 
It makes no difference to the initial content of the film. The theatrical version in its native classification is US PG-13.

The unrated version is being released only to DVD, it was never submitted to the MPAA for a classification, if it had it would have been given an R rating. The unrated name is just a way of confusing people less in the US. They don't have PG-13 and R versions of films. It's either PG-13 or unrated.

It will see an international release and will most likely be labeled as an "Extended Edition" which is what all unrated versions of films get renamed to in the UK.
 
Releases of the same film in different versions with different certificates are now allowed, the rules changed on 23rd Dec 2003 according to the BBFC website.
