Did you think about the effect having children would have on the environment?

Did/do you think about overpopulation when having a child?

I don't know. Is this another thing prospective parents think about when choosing to have children? Should they? Give me your thoughts!

This earth is plenty big enough to handle more children. When people talk about not wanting to overpopulate, it is more for personal comfort than for the actual welfare of the planet. The earth was here long before any human was born, and will be here long after the human race is gone. She can do a fine job of taking care of herself.

I did a bit, but life marches on.

Any life, even your own, has an effect on the environment. Short of removing all human life from earth, the best we can do is try to have as limited (or even positive) an effect on the environment as we are able, every day.

I'm not worried about overpopulating the earth because I have three kids. LOL They will be taught to respect our earth and the things within it.
