Did you notice if the quality of a cartoon fluctuated when you were a kid?

I noticed with Looney Tunes. I could tell which cartoon is Chuck Jones and which is not.

Same with "Tom and Jerry". There's light-years difference between the Hanna-Barbera, Gene Deitch, and Chuck Jones shorts. I also remember thinking that the CinemaScope shorts felt "off", mainly because of the difference in animation quality (and the fact that they were always shown pan-and-scan in television)
 
I voted Yes since I remember noting even the tiniest mistakes as a kid. For example this scene from Sonic SatAM:

I was like "Wtf, why is Antoine now a midget when just like 5 seconds ago he was the same size and heigh as Sonic?" :confused:
