Gay Marriage? Granted, he was a Republican at the time, but...

Doesn't that fly in the face of their policy against Federally Mandating Morality?
Furthermore - It was Democrat Bill Clinton who signed it into law...

wow! Didn't know that about Bill. But I know Obama had the House pass the GIVE act, about forced volunteerism. Again, the legislating morality issue...

Libert-Aryans are the most hypocritical bunch there is. They talk about gaining power to give people freedom, and some buy that. They say in public they want communities and counties and states to decide on their own, while in private advocating federal impositions.

I'd vote for Bush before I vote for one of those people.

The Vatican will never recognize same sex marriages, and rightfully so. If two people of the same sex want to be together they should go though legal channels, not religious.

I knew it was SOME Republican who first proposed the DOMA, I just didn't know which one. Barr doesn't surprise me. And everyone OUGHT to know that Clinton signed it into law (not that he much of a choice).

Bob Barr may be a member of the "Libertarian" Party, but he is not a libertarian. The LP has been hijacked by a bunch of Republican carpetbaggers, with the aid of an unprincipled 5th column within the party (those responsible for the founding of the "Reform" Caucus).

The LP ought to toss Bob Barr, Wayne Allyn Root (WAR), Bill Redpath, and all other non-libertarians (those who advocate the initiation of force in violation of the pledge they signed when they joined the party) out of the party or change its name to something other than "Libertarian."

Is this to suggest the there is bipartisan support for a measure? If so, then it seems pretty cut an dried.
