the Dark Ages? The Nile Valley Civilizations, Ancient KMT (Egypt), Ancient Kush and Nubia, Babylon (which was part of Kush), Ethiopia, to name a few....

LOL If you read Biblical sources, you will see that the person responsible for the building of Babylon was nimrod son of Cush son of Ham....uhh, do your research and see that the ancient Chamite (Hamites, another word for Mizraim or Egypt) were "sun burned"people. Dark skin Africans. What do you know? it's been there in the Bible all along. The original inhabits of Iraq and that area were also Afro-Asiatic people long before the invaders came in.
 
Dark Ages in the context of Europe usually means after the fall of Rome about 1500 years ago. Egyptian civilization is much older but was in decline at that time as well. Some of the ancients in Europe were fairly civilized. Some Asian civilizations near Babylon predate even Egypt I believe.

I never heard of he Kush conquering Babylon. That seems unlikely considering their power.
 
The question is, what kind of "Dark Ages" were Europeans in, and what kind of civilizations existed in Africa? But in any case Babulon is today's Iraq, which is not in Africa.
 
the dark ages was the time between the fall of the Roman Empire and the Renaissance....most people are aware that there were civilizations in Africa at this time.
 
yup, and I also know that they were infamous for cannibalism and human sacrifice. The Ethiopian " civilization" was known to sacrifice as many as 10,000 prisoners a day during their religious festivals. worse than the prechristian "civilizations" of south america in their murderousness.
 
A couple problems..

1) The sole "African" civilization during the dark ages was the remnants of a romanized Ptolemaic ( greek ) civilization in Egypt that was eventually overrun by Arabs.

2) Babylon was not part of Kush. Kush was essentially located in what is now Sudan, Babylon was in what is now Iraq. Further, Kush was long dead by the Dark Ages.

3) The height of African civilization was the Egyptians who were contemporaries of the ancient Greeks. And this took place long before the Dark Ages.
 
there were highly advanced cultures in europe long before the civilizations came into existence. both writing and the wheel were developed in europe circa 6000-7000 years ago in what is today hungary, bulagaria, romania.
