You know when you call in for a replacement and the rep says to ship it out within the next 7 days or what not? Did you know the real amount of days you have is 40? I called a rep one time because I was late and I thought they were going to bill me because I passed the 7th day. He said don't worry about it because it's really 40 days not 7. They say 7 just so they can get the phone back and you wouldn't have to pay for it if they don't. He even said he had a phone he needed to ship back and it's been sitting at his house for weeks. After that time, I take way more then 7 days and nothing ever happens. So he must of been telling the truth right?

Just thought I might share that with you guys.

That happened to me about 5 years ago. I had to send back a 7100t and the replacement hadn't come yet. After 10 days I called them. They admitted to an address screw up and sent me a THIRD 7100t. I got that 7100t 3 days later and sent the original back (13 days after it broke). The original replacement showed up 4 months later (I'd upgraded to the 7105t by then) and sent the 7100t back.

Yupps... They timeline really is around 40 days... Infact let me tell you what happens when you pass that...

They call you up and ask you if you've sent it... And if you haven't, they let you go ahead and send it out, and still be nice abt it...

If you're still late, they'll bill you about $400 for it, and if you've sent it out, you give em a date and a tracking number, and once they get it, they'll fix the charge...

They're great...

Lol I never knew what happens after because I was to scared to find out. Now that I know, I'll keep this in mind in case I get lazy.

****** I used to work for tmobile I took a little over 3 months to return my phone they wouldn't take the fee off my bill so my 170 dollar 8100 with no contract costed me 400 more... They have an extension but its not to be taken lightly, they can still charge you. I even told them it was in the mail which I was headed to ups at that moment -luckily I called otherwise I wouldn't have been able to help out a friend by letting them have it. Anyway be careful. That's the only complaint ive had

One other thing, when you return a phone to t-mobile, make sure you have a tracking number. I sent back a G1 through the USPS recently and it took them a month to credit me. I had it insured, but didn't have a tracking number. The credit showed up on my bill 30 minutes after I paid my bill. Just a thought.
