Did you go to the 8th grade dance with a guy? is it weird if you dont :( ?

well im starting 8th grade in september and my school hosts alot of things for 8th graders, one of them is the 8th grade dance. its like a mini prom they choose king and queen and stuff. im worried because i dont wanna be the only one there without going with someone :(..is it weird? did you go with someone?
 
I can't even remember my 8th grade dance. I probably went with my friends.
 
no its weird if you do go with someone because your not really going to spend the WHOLE dance with them go with your friends and you'll have tons more fun! =D
 
no its not a big deal. mostly only boyfriends and girlfriends go together. even at real prom and homecoming people don't have dates. an its okay :) its more fun to hang out with a different group of people than be stuck with one.
 
there was no king/queen for us. actually, NOBODY went with a guy. lol. everyone just danced with their friends, but, then again, the theme was rave......
 
im outta school now but last friday we had our 8th grade "goodbye" dance. and no i went with some friends b.c my boyfriend broke up with me before it. anyways back on topic there were only like 2 legit couples that went together to the dance, so its fine not to.
 
Wow I've never heard of an 8th grade dance electing kind and queen. No, usually all my old middle school dances you didn't need a date. Everyone just showed up and had a good time. Do you know anyone older that went to your school that you can ask?
