Did you complain when Yasser Arafat won the Nobel Peace Prize?

I've read quite a few vents on Obama's awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize for efforts in easing tension with the Muslim world and bringing an end to the unilateral policies of his predecessor (thank goodness for that!), and they really come as a bit of a shock considering past awardings.

How can you say that the Committee behind the awarding has NOW lost its mind when even a Chairman of the PLO's Execute Committee has been awarded for attempts to bring peace to the Middle East? Surely, if you have no open disagreement on his giving of the prestigious prize, how can it be said that Obama does not deserve it?
I never asked if everyone here specifically complained at the time he won it. Merely that if they even cared for the fact he won it.
"complained on here" is what I meant to type.

Yes. And I was shocked when stuble bum Jimmy Carter and lying Al Gore got it too. The prize has become a total joke.

The prize was given to Obama before he did anything at all. Are they physic or what?

Was Yahoo Answers or its predecessor (the name of which evades me) around way back then?
And I thought the earlier version on Yahoo was scrapped because of so many racist comments and "forbidden" language (all the four-letter words and their permutations).
Seems like Yahoo Answers might be headed in the same direction judging from recent posts.

Americans generally don't care about the Nobel Peace Prize or anything that isn't American, so most Americans are not aware of the fact that Yasser Arafat won the prize, nor are they aware of anyone else who has won it. The only thing the majority of Americans currently know regarding the Nobel Peace Prize is that it's some award for peaceful people and now Obama's won it ... thus that provides a wonderful opportunity for partisan debate over Obama's domestic, economic, international, etc policies.
