Did you argue with anyone about animation?

I was channel surfing and I got to Nick, and there was one of the older episodes of Spongebob, and I asked this guy next to me why he thinks the newer episodes weren't as rewatchable. He said because the writers upped the silliness to get kids back into it because the amount of adults watching were larger than the amount of kids watching.

Other than that I don't talk animation with anyone else except for here.
 
Hmm...

One of my first threads on this forum was about a college friend of mine who stubbornly refused to say why he hated Ice Age, outside of a generic "it's not funny". It wasn't that he disliked the movie that I had a problem with, but how he couldn't even come up with reasons, even when I prodded him.

One time I showed my high school friends the second episode of Clerks: The Animated Series, and two of them didn't like it at all. I was like, "C'mon, it's funny!" They're like, "No it's not! It's just the same sidewalks walking joke over and over!"
