did War Communism have anything to do with Trotsky?

The question is on Trotsky's contribution to the Bolshevik success.

However, am I right in thinking that War Communism was Lenin's idea?

Yup, war communism was thought of and introduced by Lenin. However, he was allied with Trotsky at the time, who was controlling the army.
 
Trotsky and Lenin were both partners during the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. They both established the idea of Marxist Communism in Russia. Lenin was paranoid of Trotsky's power, and he wanted more power himself so he got him exiled. He then took the claim that Communism was his idea.
