Did the Ps2 Guitar Hero Wireless guitar plug in with a usb, or controller port?

So yeah, I was just wondering how the Ps2 (not the ps3) Guitar hero wireless controller plugged in?
Like does it plug in like the rockband one?
You know with the little receiver box thing that plugged into a usb port?
