Did the operation "Cast Lead" change Hamas's view of Israel?

They used to support all terror against Israel, but after Cast Lead they are less interested in terror. They even want to prevent Gazans from firing rockets at Israeli civillians {http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/14/world/middleeast/14briefs-Gaza.html?_r=1&pagewanted=print}.

Did Cast Lead make Hamas realize that Jews are human, and Israeli civillians can not be killed with impunity?
