Thats recent, Im told that durring the war, harley made a motorcycle fitted with a side car, this model had a reverse gear. But never on bikes sold as bikes.

the servicar had reverse. also, some of the modern sidecar models have reverse, but it is an electric motor driven reverse in the sidecar wheel- the servicars had a 3 speed transmission with reverse instead of the typical 4 speed tranny. same transmission- different gear arrangement
