I think she did, check out the blog above.

Yes, she did keep the money because once the US Government authorizes that expense as a bit of pork in a much larger bill, they cannot take it back.

So, that's why lobbyists are so valuable and always collect their fees. It's because once the money is in your hands, you have to spend it. If you don't want Pork, then don't hire a lobbyist.

True, sometimes the US Govt will audit that expense, but they don't take back the money.

So, Palin wanted the pork. All of Alaska wanted that pork--the state thrives on being a welfare state--soaking it to us through tarifs on oil.

Get an electric car and flip a bird up north.

Yes, she kept the money and lied about it.
The road to nowhere also came into being under her watch.

What lies!

Yes she did. And that is a 3.2 mile road that cost $25 million. Go figure? Somebody made out good on that one.

Her response is that there was nothing that she could do to stop it. The tough lady who stood up to all of those "establishment" people, but could do nothing to stop such a ridiculous project.

I think she did. Here's a CNN video that kind of explains the whole thing including Obama/Biden's part: http://www.mofopolitics.com/2008/09/23/video-biden-obama-voted-for-bridge-to-nowhere-against-katrina-reconstruction/

Man, someday we are actually going to start focusing on really important things...I hope.

At least she didn't run a money laundering scam to buy the lot next to her house.

First of all, the bridge DOES go somewhere....to an island that has people living on it. Currently, they use a ferry to cross over. When the weather is bad, they can't get off the island (that burst appendix or baby or burn victim will have to wait on the weather, thank you). When the ferry lands on the mainland, they need a road to drive on. I believe Alaska has only about 20% of it's roads paved, the lowest percentage in the nation. Should they not enjoy paved roads like everyone else?

So, calling it a "Bridge to Nowhere" or a "Road to Nowhere" is a fallacy.

And you do know that BOTH Obama and Biden voted to fund it, yes?

The road was leading to the bridge. Now it is leading to the new ferry system they are using for transportation to and from the airport.

The road goes to a ferry, so you can get to the island. But you don't really care about this. You get your kicks attacking Palin.

yep she should have built the bridge then atleast the 25 million we paid for the road would have a purpose

Yes she kept the $400,000,000.00 dollars, 400 million and then lied about supporting it. All the candidates supported it initially she is just the only one lying about it.
