Did my water break? Anybody had a similar situation?

On thursday I had my membrane sweep. I am 39+5 days. My doc did this due to my history 2 ectopic pregnancies + 3 miscarriages as I am scared to go over my due date. He told me to walk a lot that it might break my water or lose my mucous plug. If water breaks go to hospital. 2 hours later I was at home in the bathroom peeing, I finished peeing I stood up wiped myself and went to go downstairs when I felt a warm gush down below I quickly pulled down my pants to see this water flowing down both my legs and screamed out to my sister for help. The floor was soaking my sister had to get me to sit on a towel. She has 2 kids and she rang an ambulance, following this I had some regular contractions and my doc had wrote on my chart I was 2cm. When I got to hospital the midwife checked me & said my water was gone. Got a doc to check me too she said oh I think your waters are still there despite looking and feeling for them and saying I can't really tell i think they are there.When my fiance asked well what could it be she simply said oh some mucous or discharge, but this was water mucous or discharge is thicker she hadn't got a clue. I wasn't swabbed for amnotic fluid or scanned either I also passed my mucous plug on Saturday. My mother reckons I'm in slow labour and my sister reckons it was my back water that broke as the same hapened her. Has anyone ever had a similar situation. I'm been induced in the morning anyway
