I was sitting idle at stoplight and it seemed like the engine was gonna kill on me when i noticed the oil pressure light came on, then the cruise control light came on (which is weird cause it is broke) and then the engine died. I tried to restart engine a few times and each time it turned over, but no luck starting. First I pushed the car to side of road (by-myself, lol) then i checked the oil. The dip-stick showed that my oil was way to full. My car burns oil so I am constantly checking and adding oil. The last time I did this it was exactly at the full line. Now its a good 1 to 1.5 inches above the full mark on the dip-stick. This seems to be telling me something but im not sure what. So either someone opened my hood and added more while I slept or is this a sign of a seized engine or the oil pump did something funny or what?
Did my engine seize on my 1999 dodge intrepid with 148k miles?
