Yes he did the main part of his choreography,all the cool moves we saw he made them up.His choreographer made up the entrances and managed his moves and thought them to everyone else in the background.Michael had his own dance room were he would make up his video choreography it was mostly the military parts.He also rote all the songs in his last albums.Including "Leave Me alone,Heal the World,Have You Seen My Childhood"

YES most of the time he did some of the time were freestyle and the thriller video was co- choreographed.

for some of his videos he just freestyle danced while they taped it-- like in billie jean. during most of his live performances he did, too. just freestyle. i bet that when he had backup dancers, though, there was some planned choreography, so that there would be some unison.

Yes. But he did get help from a choreographer for his backup dancers (from what i have heard.)
