Did McCain throw a red herring in the final debate?

In the final debate, McCain called for attention and scrutiny of Obama's associations with Ayers and Acorn.

Obama's relationship to the two was already examined in depth during his nomination campaign against Clinton. The allusions to his terrorist involvement and encouragement in voter fraud produced no solid evidence: only hazy speculation.

The issues of economy and health care are not McCain's strong suit. Was this accusation of Obama a red herring to the issues in an attempt to distract voters and gain support?

Does anyone have solid evidence that Obama has secured Ayers a significant role in his campaign or in his bureaucratic appointments? Is there any solid evidence that Obama endorsed or encouraged fraudulent behavior by Acorn employees?

If you have not found evidence, but have decided against Obama for these reasons: what is your justification?

Of course, McSame wants to DIVERT attention from any policy issues, and sling mud, because that's all that Republicans can understand.

Now, now, pretty.

You know Obama ain't got no Terrorist associations.

Then NeaCons have just been makin' stuff up to try to get you away from tha' real issues at hand.
