...bands through their music? I was not born in the 70's, so i dont know. But I feel that there was probably a specific rock culture of Led Zeppelin there, through their music and openly smoking weed. I dont think any other band had an influence on the everyday LIVES of people like they did. Listen to the guitaring in Black Dog, Immigrant Song and the solo in Stairway to Heaven; i think you'll know what i mean. The sound was original, and sounds like the authentic 70's sound to me (end 60's and early 70s that is). I dont know if too many bands have produced the guitaring like Jimmy Page has done.
If you are a Pink Floyd fan, and feel the need to rant it out here, dont bother answering here please. Im not saying that LZ was the best rock band in the world here (although i think it definitely is).
I would love people from the 70s (and esp if they are diehard LZ fans) to tell me about the specific culture LZ promoted in their lives personally. Tell me about the rad chicks and all the weed, cuz im smoking a joint tonight listening to LZ songs.
