I think Jordan encouraged other players to be more selfish on the court unlike Magic, Bird, or Lebron and off to court, and to think of scoring more than helping the team win. He only toned down his selfish play at beginning of 1991 season when jackson convinced him that he would not win as much rings as bird or magic being a ballhog. Also he is the reason why many B-Ball players except Shaq are selling expensive shoes that most urban kids cannot afford.
