I have an '03 chevy imapala with about 70000 miles on it. I have never had to have it serviced, it has been faithful and dependable. I was a little overdue for an oil change, and my engine oil level was quite low, so I added some oil to it as an emergency measure, but unfortunately, I added too much. In fact, I probably added about 3-4 liters to my car. (foolish that I didn't check how much i was adding.) I drove the car about 30 miles and mentioned to my dad that I think I put too much oil in my car and he freaked out, luckily i had an oil change planned later that day. Two days later, the check engine light comes on... What the heck did I do to my car? Should I be worried? What should I be looking for?
Did I just break my car?
