did i dream this film ?

i have a vague recollection of a film i watched as a kid about 2 ice skaters who fall in love i think then the girl is killed in a plane crash. the only other bit i remember is the guy having to idenitfy her from a tattoo. i think its from the mid 80s.

please if any one can help it would be great.

there was a film about two ice skaters she was a figure skater and he was an ice hockey player who had to partner her in a competition and they obviously fell in love! but i dont think anyone died?! i could be wrong though...or this is a completely diff film! cant think of its name! sorry

Anyone know where i could get a copy of this film, Champions, a love story? Beentrying for nearly 20 years unsuccessfully!
