I was helping someone jump start their car earlier tonight. I thought I knew what I was doing but I forgot that your not suppose to connect the negative end to the dead battery. I immediately grounded it after I remembered, but a few minutes had passed by then. And when I was taking the clamps off I accidentally touched them together while they were still connected to my battery. Someone told me that they can destroy a car's computer. My car ran normal afterwards, but how would I know if I did any damage? (No good deed goes unpunished) I have a 2011 scion.
Did I damage my car helping someone else jump start theirs?
