I froze a pound and a half of ground beef yesterday. took it out today to make tacos. put it in the skillet on medium heat breaking it off in portions until it was all brown. (i made tacos) and after it was "defrosted" i put in the taco seasoning and cooked it on medium high a few mins, then let simmer for about 7 mins stirring every minute or so. it looked brow all the way through to me. my only concern is, by the time i put my cheese and sour cream on the tacos it was warm but not hot like it usually is. how can i be sure its cooked enough to eat and how do i know it reached the right temp. ive already eaten two.. so i'm hoping its okay?
