Did hell freeze over?

Because from where I'm sitting, it sure feels like hell froze over. I know there are colder places in the world than Minnesota, but jeeze. Cut me some slack. It's pretty much sub zero weather right now. The great part, our apartment is drafty and poorly insulated. So here I sit with my heater on, dressed in layers, under multiple blankets (6 to be exact) and I'm still freezing my ass off.

Sure, I could move, but to where? All my family is in Minnesota. I'm just sick of having such harsh winters. If we had snow all the time, that would be one thing, but I can't handle these sub-zero wind chills and temperatures when I walk a half mile to class and a half mile back. Even when you bundle up it just bites into you like a fat kid going for the birthday cake. (No offense to any fellow fat people. :tongue: ) GAH!!!!

I want spring. :cry:
 
Yup, it's cold in Wisconsin, too. But it's gonna warm up real soon. I can tell 'cause my neck is gettin' stiffer. Always does that when the temperate winds come-a-blowin'.

They say Old Man Richards place is haunted, but I don't believe 'em. They've fooled me one too many times and they can't be trusted. I'd never set foot in that house, not if you said you was gonna pay me one million dollars, not even for that. I've seen some queers goin's on, animals, mainly. They just don't like the place. Not even in the sunlight, midday. My Pa always told me he got the gooseflesh when he was a boy, tossin' the dailies for a dime a day. Old Man Richards...*leans in*...Old Man Richards...killed his own son. Beat 'm t'death with a length of iron rod, and the son's spirit is-a restless. Sour ground.

Yup, it's cold as a bastard here, too.
 
see, that's usually my thoughts too, but when it's this cold, it really doesn't matter how many clothes you try to put on. It's just damn hard to get warm enough.
 
You could move to Phoenix. Around 65 in the winter. 120 in the summer. At least when you're cold you can put more clothes on. But you can only get so naked when it gets hot.
 
i hate the cold....i only have so many clothes to put on before i begin to sweat but my face is cold....in the summer time i can walk around naked...and who doesnt like that....

move somewhere warm...no where is a perfect temperature year round...find a place you can deal with....shop around for a cheap house and start saving your money...

Yeah, I agree: cold weather sucks. Right now it's about -20C. Thankfully there's no wind. When it's cold, I prefer staying inside where I keep the temperature very comfortable. Alot of people have said it's on the hot side, although I still get chills occasionally. Like right now my thermostat says it's just over 70F in here, but i'm wearing a sweater and still feel a chill goin' through me.

Although that could be because I'm sippin' a cold beer.
