Did GTA:IV deliver?

All fanboyism aside, did GTA meet your expectations? Honest answers please.

For the sake of the argument, let's just focus on the single player. Forget multiplayer even exists.
 
yes and no

I really felt they left a lot out, and not just tanks and planes. I was expecting more weapons, more cars, more clothes, more rewards.

It's just like GTAIII with having nothing to spend your money on.
 
While I really like the game and am happy with the purchase, there's a few things that I miss from older GTA's or that I would change.

-The chase camera needs to be at a higher angle, it sucks having to hold the right joystick down a little to get the right angle. The camera also takes too long to recenter behind you after a sharp turn IMO.

-money feels worthless in this game, I miss being able to buy houses and businesses like in VC. I've got like 800k and nothing to spend it on

-paramedic/firetruck/taxi/etc side missions, they were always a good way to entertain myself for a few minutes.

The positives outweigh the negatives though, so I'd still give it like a 9/10
