national news! He admitted it live.? Just google David Letterman affair. Guess what? I saw the show too. He was so self righteous all these years. There goes "Mr. Perfect". lol! He's such a hypocrite.
 
He had sex with people he worked with BEFORE he got married. He hasn't been married but for a couple years. Get over it, all kinds of men have sex when they aren't married. Don't be so willing to point fingers. We all have our weaknesses, and you just showed us yours.

Letterman decided to turn the tables, not only admitting to his adultery, but contacting the police, who subsequently caught the extortionist.

Letterman and his wife have been together since 1986, though they just got married a few years ago. They have a 5 year old son together. This isn't really uncommon at that level of celebrity, but that's not justifying his actions.

I really like Letterman, and I hope this doesn't destroy his marriage. It did happen before he was married to his now wife, but when you've been together for that long, does it really matter if you were married or not?

He has lived with his woman in a commited relationship for like 20 years so don't try to dance around with timeline excuses

why get married to a person if you are going to sleep around with other people mr perfect he don't go any where near that look like the tables had finally turned on him

Well he may of cheated but not necessarily on his wife. He never gave a time line. Actually besides his wife I don't think anyone cares, and that was the downfall of the blackmailer.
