Did Cricket open up network???

I hope that comes around soon. I've been experiencing worse signal than usual in my apartment lately (I've dropped more than a couple of calls where my signal used to be stable at about three bars of signal) and I was wondering if that had anything to do with EVDO tinkering.

Yes that's entirely what this post is about. Before you were only able to browse the Cricket Web Portal / Use a Google URL that allowed you to surf websites outside of the portal but it was a painful solution. As long as your paying the 5.00 fee there shouldn't be any extra charge. They can track your browsing history as you go through there servers but the likely hood of them canceling your service isn't very likely. Only in the situation that you were using excessive amounts of Data per month would that be possible / likely. But normal webpage usage shouldn't have any negative results / extra charges.
 
i think he was asking if he could cancel the $5 WAP feature and still use opera mini. the answer is no. we have confirmed that you must have the $5 WAP browsing feature to be able to access sites off portal. they won't charge you for trying, it just won't work.

besides the normal $5 WAP browsing charge. There is no restrictions or extra charges for internet use.
 
go to opera.com, navigate to the section for PDA's, download, and install. you'll need to hook your pocketpc up to your computer.
 
Is anyone else getting "HTTP Error: 404 Not found" when trying to access some pages? I'm also getting an occasional "Gateway timed out." error when trying to access other pages.
