In all honesty, I don't think the man is capable of thinking that far ahead. He hates the Clintons (and they hate him) and well, he can't vote Republican. So, I am going to say, no...he is just an idiot.

Carter was and still is BHO's mentor. Carter also continues to be the worse President in history, or at least one of the worst. Without Carter however, we would not have had Reagan. The times in which he serves usually defines a President's place in history. Unless BHO gets this financial meltdown in check, his place history will be unflattering.

Yes, but U S Grant was the worse up until now. Carter was second worst President but what a great humanatarian. We are lucky to have him and his wife.

It's really only Republicans who remember Carter as the "worst President in history". While he certainly wasn't that good, I'd be hesitant to even call him the worst President of the 1970s.
