Did bin Laden actually see the twin towers as combatant-militant economic...

'He says: "The towers were supposed to be filled with supporters of the economical powers of the United States who are abusing the world. Those who talk about civilians should change their stand and reconsider their position. We are treating them like they treated us".'


this is what bin laden said but my dad responded like "absolutely not fair. secretaries trying to feed their families, let alone a palestinian company could have been in there. so if bin laden is so concerned about palestine...he killed innocent people by attacking WTC so he didnt solve any issues but made more" etc.

So thats a good point. hence the first word in the title WORLD, trade center...it wasnt all-american so the ppl were innocent and had nothing to do with the history of trade/economic/foreign policy
 
In laymens terms...he was saying as taxpayers and those taxes are used for the military....and as such the civilian population is fair game as a legitimate target.
