did anyone have to hold handle to lock door in a 90s mazda?

If you didn't hold the handle the door would unlock.. Or was this just a malfunction

LMAO! Haha This is how most cars from the earliy 90's were made. I have a 90Honda Accord right now and I have to hold my drivers side handle open when locking the car as well. ℓoℓ
its not a malfunction, my toyota and my mazda from those years were the same. You can use ur key to lock to lock it too, if u dnt like the handle thing, but its normal. Just how they were made back then. =)
